This page is dedicated to our beautiful Shawnee girl. She past away Oct. 20 of advanced bone cancer at 12 years old. She has had a wonderful life and made many people very happy with her beautiful pups. I have her daughter Ciecie who is 9 years old and in excellent health! I have Ciecie's daughter Rosie who had her first litter in April of this year with our new boy Chablais Antonio Gaudi, aka, Stoney! I also have Shawnee's 1/2 sister, Cello, who is also 9 years old and has a beautiful daughter, Carly. Finnegan is Carly's father. Shawnee is now at Rainbow Bridge with her mom, our beloved Shiloh and her dad, Happy Camper and some of her pups that have passed, either at birth or because of a tragedy. They will all be together and Shawnee suffers no longer. Shawnee did very well until the last few days. I have just not been able to put her on my Rainbow Bridge yet, but will soon.  This was a very difficult decision as you can not change your mind once it is done. My daughter Jenn and her husband Ken and the 4 children who have been with her everyday for 4 years had to make the decision with my help. My oldest granddaughter was with me when Shawnee was born. They are best friends. I am going to put some pictures below and if you happen to have any that you would like to send us and I do not already have, please send them to me so I can add them to this dedication for Shawnee and her loving family!

This is the saddest day, Shawnee and the family where waiting for the vet to come and end her suffering.

This was a very hard decision but the right one as she is now with her 4 legged family that passed before her.

I am happy to have her daugther, Ciecie and Ciecie's daughter, Rosie. Rosie and Stoney are expecting pups in Dec., 2008. Shawnee had a wonderful life and always had a good day. I hope she is happy and at peace and we will all be together again someday. My grandchildren have a new pup to go with Finnegan, who misses Shawnee so much and Finnula and the new addition to our labrador family, Chestnuts Shamrock Fergus of Whipowil...Thank you so much Bev for letting us adopt Fergus as he is what we needed for the children. He is a wonderful black boy who will produce some beautiful litters next year for us. God Bless you and all of you who helped us through this difficult time. There is never an easy day, time or way to say good-bye to your best friend but it is the last kindness you can do for them, end their suffering...

Shawnee and her pups, Shawnee had this litter in Dec of 2003. I lost my Chestnutbelle on Jan.1, 2004. If not for Shawnee and her babies, I just do not know how I would have made it. She helped me so much through the sadness and grief of losing my Chestnutbelle and now it is Shawnee who will be going. We do not have our dogs long enough but no amount of time is enough when you love someone. You have to believe they are in a better place, not suffering any longer. We will miss you Shawnee Girl. Enjoy the time you have left, we will enjoy you and cherish everyday with you. Love you Shawnee!
